Westnet Modem WiFi Channel Settings

If you have a third party modem, please consult your modem's user manual or check the manufacturer's website for support information.

  1. On a device that's connected to your modem, open your web browser and go to http://192.168.1.1
  2. Log in with the default username admin and default password admin, or use your custom login details.
  3. Click the Advanced tab, then select Wireless > Wireless Settings. You'll see the 2.4GHz WiFi settings by default.
  4. Select the desired channel from the Channel drop-down menu.
  5. Set Channel Width to 20MHz.
  6. Click Save to finish.

  1. On a device that's connected to your modem, open your web browser and go to http://10.1.1.1
  2. For TG-1s: Log in with the default username "admin" and default password “admin”, or use your custom login details.
    For TG-789s: Log in with the unique default password printed on the modem's barcode sticker (example below) or use your custom login details.

  3. Click the Wireless panel on the dashboard.

  4. Select the desired channel from the Channel drop-down menu.
  5. Set Channel Width to 20MHz.
  6. Click Save to finish.

Cable Gateway Pro (EPC3940L)

  1. On a device that's connected to your modem, open your web browser and go to http://192.168.0.1
  2. Log in with the default username admin and default password password, or use your custom login details. If this fails, try leaving both fields blank.
  3. In the top menu bar, select Advanced.
  4. Select Wireless.
  5. Under "2.4GHz Radio", set Channel Width to 20MHz.
  6. Select the desired channel from the Control Channel drop-down menu.
  7. The results of an interference check will be shown and changes will be saved automatically.
     
    Cable Gateway Pro EPC3940L WiFi settings
  1. On a device that's connected to your modem, open your web browser and go to http://192.168.1.1
  2. Log in with the default username admin and default password admin, or use your custom login details.
  3. In the left-hand column, click Basic and then select WLAN.
  4. Select the desired channel from the Channel drop-down menu.
  5. Set 11N Band Width to 20.
  6. Click Submit to finish.

These instructions will only work for the NetComm NB16WV-02 purchased from Westnet.

  1. On a device that's connected to your modem, open your web browser and go to http://10.1.1.1
  2. Log in with the default username admin and default password admin, or use your custom login details.
  3. At the bottom of the page, click Switch to advanced view.
  4. Click Network Setup in the top menu bar and then select Wireless 2.4GHz from the drop-down menu.
  5. Select the desired channel from the Channel drop-down menu.
  6. Set Channel Bandwidth to 20MHz Only.
  7. Click Save to finish.
     
    NetComm WiFi settings
  1. On a device that's connected to your modem, open your web browser and go to http://10.1.1.1
  2. Log in with the default password admin, or use your custom password.
  3. Select 2. Set up my wireless from the top menu bar.
  4. Select the desired channel from the Channel drop-down menu.
  5. Set Bandwidth to 20MHz.
  6. Click Save settings to finish.
     
    Budii WiFi settings
  1. On a device that's connected to your modem, open your web browser and go to http://10.1.1.1
  2. Log in with the default password admin, or use your custom password.
  3. Select 2. Set up my wireless from the top menu bar.
  4. Select the desired channel from the Channel drop-down menu.
  5. Set Bandwidth to 20MHz.
  6. Click Save settings to finish.
