Setting up Dialup on Mac OSX

Mac computers no longer have built-in dialup modems. You may need to have one installed by a computer technician, or a USB plugin dialup modem may be available for purchase at your local computer store.

  1. To start, click the Network icon in the upper right-hand corner of the windows and select Open Network Preferences

  2. In the left-hand column of the Network Preferences window, select External Modem (for USB plugin dialup modems) or Internal Modem (for built-in dialup modems).
