Our Windows servers require that you must specify the remote folder when connecting via FTP. Once you have connected to the folder where you have permission, you will be able to upload, delate or modify any of the files in your web space.

I can log in to my webspace but I get denied access when I try to upload

If you have connected to the web server and are unable to upload or modify any files, you may have logged into the web folder where you do not have permission.

An FTP program refers to the remote folder. You will need to specify the folder (on the webserver) that you are trying to connect too in order to manage your website files. The remote folder is always your domain name, without the 'www'

I have made a change to my website but when on the internet I can't see the update?

If you have made a change to your website but cannot see this when you view the page on the Internet, it is likely that your computer may be displaying the website from its 'cache'. This means that it is not downloading a new copy of the website from the Internet.

To clear your 'cache' and force your computer to download a new copy, please click 'refresh' on your browser or press and Hold the CTRL key while pressing the F5 key.

I have uploaded my site but I get an error when I look at the website on the Internet

If you have uploaded your website but receive an error when viewing it on the Internet, you may need to check that one of the pages of your website (usually the home page) is called index.html or default.html.
