Please find below the instructions on how to change your Westnet Phone Plan depending on your phone line type.
Customers with a Westnet Full Phone Service
If you have a Residential or Business Full Phone service with Westnet, please follow these steps to change your plan:
1. Log into the MyAccount service with your Westnet username and password.
2. In the Phone section, click the Change Phone Plan link.
3. If you have multiple phone services with Westnet, choose the phone number for the line you wish to change. If you only have one (1) phone service with Westnet, please disregard this step.
4. You will be presented with a list of plans available to choose from. Click the Change to this plan button for the plan you wish to change to.
5. You will be presented with a confirmation message. If you wish to proceed with the change, click the Confirm button.
Another confirmation message will appear once your request has been submitted. You will also receive a confirmation email to the correspondence email address on your Westnet account.
Important: You may only submit one (1) Change Phone Plan request per calendar month. If you wish to submit another Phone Plan Change request during the same calendar month, or if you receive an error message at any stage, please contact Westnet Accounts on 1300 855 006.
Please note: Plan changes take effect immediately and any line rental paid in advance prior to the change will appear as a credit adjustment on your next phone invoice. A new prorata charge will also appear on your next phone invoice for your new plan from the date you submit the change until the end of the month.
Some call charges made prior to the plan change may appear on your account after the change is complete. This is due to timing of information made available from our wholesale provider. These calls will be billed as per the call rates of the Westnet Phone plan you were on at the time of making the calls.
Customers with a Long Distance Only (Preselection) Service
If you have a Long Distance Only (Preselection) service with Westnet, we regret to advise that you are unable to change your Westnet Phone plan.
Should you wish to take advantage of the excellent phone rates you receive with Westnet Full Service, you may upgrade using our easy online signup or simply call Westnet Sales on 13 19 60.
Customers with an ISDN Telephony Service
If you have an ISDN Telephony service with Westnet and wish to make changes to your service, please contact Westnet Business Solutions on 1300 786 006.
Customers with an Override Code Access Only Service
Effective 1 March 2007, Westnet will no longer provide Override Code access by dialling 1414 prior to your long distance and fixed-to-mobile calls.
In order for you to continue to receive Westnet's excellent phone rates, we extend an invitation for you to:
1. Preselect Westnet for all long distance, fixed-to-mobile and international calls; or
2. Switch your Full Phone service to Westnet for line rental and all calls.
