What is MyHelp?

Westnet MyHelp is a wiki which has replaced our previous Westnet Help webpages. MyHelp allows greater member interaction by allowing you to add to or change the information contained within the MyHelp articles.

Of course, you do need to create a MyHelp account in order to make these changes, however this is a quick and easy process. Please click here for further information and assistance in creating your MyHelp account.


What is a wiki?

A wiki is a special type of website that its readers can edit directly, without needing any knowledge of programming or web design. As opposed to a traditional knowledgebase, this means that any user can add a new article, fix an error, update old information and more. Westnet are the first telecommunications company in Australia, and possibly the world, to introduce this sort of wiki for our members.


Features and benefits

  • MyHelp is an enterprise wiki that makes it easy for you to collaborate and share knowledge. In other words, we're giving our members, (you!) the chance to share your knowledge by adding and editing articles on the MyHelp section of our website.

  • Attractive, user-friendly WYSIWYG ('What you see is what you get') interface. - Creating and Editing articles is easy! Just click "Edit" and start making changes! There's no complicated HTML code or scripts to learn, what you type is what you get!
  • Powerful tools for structuring and searching. - MyHelp comes with a powerful search engine which makes it easy to find the information you're after, quickly and easily.
  • Professional features such as PDF export and attachment capabilities. - Articles can have attachments with further information on a related subject matter, and there are also exporting capabilities available.

How can I help?

In order for MyHelp to continue to grow and improve, contributions are required by new and existing members. If a topic is not already covered in MyHelp, feel free to create it! If you find some information on the topic you are searching for, but feel more information would be useful, why not edit the article to update the existing information?

Once you have made your changes, a MyHelp moderator will review these updates and additions, and will approve your changes where possible. If you require assistance creating and editing articles, or should you have a question relating to MyHelp, please feel free to email us and we will respond as soon as possible.
