Transmit is a fairly easy to use FTP program for Mac OS X with a straight forward interface. It is one of the most popular FTP clients available on Macs. It can be downloaded from the developers website.

Setup

• Open the application
• Enter your FTP server into the Server field:
  • Personal Webspace: members.westnet.com.au

• • Personal Webspace (Frontpage Extensions): myweb.westnet.com.au

• • Westnet Hosted Domain: ftp.yourdomain.com.au
• Enter your Username and Password:
  • Personal Webspace: use your Westnet username and password

• • Westnet Hosted Domain: use the FTP username and password provided by the Domains team
• Initial Path: This is what folder is shown on the FTP server once connected.
  • IMPORTANT: If they are on a Westnet Hosted Domain on a Windows server this should be set to yourdomain.com.au
• Port: Just leave this as the default of 21.
• Protocol: Just leave this on FTP.

• Click on Connect
