Logging into and out of Webmail
When you visit the Webmail homepage, you will see a login prompt (Fig. 1). To login:
- Type your complete email address in the Email Address box - typically this will be username@westnet.com.au. If you have a Westnet-hosted domain, use username@yourdomain.com.
- Type your password in the Password field. For your primary email address, this will be the same password that you use to connect to the internet. For additional email addresses, the password will be whichever password you specified when you created the address in MyAccount.
- If you would like to login to the Lite version of Webmail (which has less features but is faster to load) you will need to tick the box that says "Lite Client".
- Click Login to proceed.
The Lite Client
The Webmail Lite Client has been developed mainly for people who have slower internet connections such as Dial-up and shaped ADSL but may also be useful to Satellite customers if they find the Plus version is taking too long to open up. It's also a good alternative for those people who are used to the old version of Webmail as it closely resembles the layout and usability of that version, whilst including some extra features.
Remember My Details
You can save your username & password for faster login - simply tick the box labelled Remember My Details. The next time you visit the login page, the login prompt will already contain your username and password.
 | Please Note: Use caution when saving your login details as another person can easily gain access to your Inbox if you leave your computer unattended, or share it with several other people, etc. |
Forgotten Password
If you have forgotten your password, you can contact either the Westnet Accounts team at accounts@westnet.com.au, or Westnet Support at support@westnet.com.au.
Session Time-outs
If you have logged into Webmail and don't use it for 10 hours it will log you out automatically and you will need to log back in again.
Logging Out
To log out of Webmail you will either need to click the Log Out button located at the top right corner of the web page or close down the web browser.
