By default, Outlook Express deletes messages from the Westnet mail server after it has transferred them to your computer. If you wish to access your email from another location at a later date, you need to get Outlook Express to leave the messages on the mail server.
To do this, please follow these steps:
- Open Outlook Express
- Click on the Tools menu located near the top of the screen
- Click on the Accounts menu item to open the Internet Accounts window
- Click on the Mail tab to view a list of all the email accounts configured in Outlook Express
- Left-click on the relevant email account from the list to select it
- Click on the Properties button to open the mail account properties window
- Click on the Advanced tab
- Under the heading Delivery there is an option called Leave a copy of messages on server. Place a tick in this box to enable Outlook Express to leave a copy of email on the mail server
- Click the OK button
- Click the Close button
Please note: If you leave a large number of messages on the Westnet mail server, you may exceed your mailbox quota.
