In Outlook Express:

  • Click on Tools in the top toolbar and select Accounts from the menu (Fig. 1)
  • Click the Add button and select Mail (Fig. 2)


Your Name

  • Type a name in the Display Name field. This is the name that will be displayed when you send someone an email - typical examples include your full name, or the name of your organisation. This does not have to be your Westnet username and can contain spaces and other special characters
  • Click Next


Internet E-mail Address

  • Type your full Westnet email address (ie. username@westnet.com.au) in the E-mail Address field
  • Click Next


E-mail Server Names

  • Ensure the My incoming mail server is drop-down box is set to POP3
  • In the Incoming mail server field, type mail.westnet.com.au
  • In the Outgoing mail server field, type mail.westnet.com.au
  • Click Next


Internet Mail Logon

  • Leave your username as it appears in the Account name field
  • In the Password field, type in the password associated with your email address
  • Click on Next
  • Click on Finish


Your Westnet email address is now configured in Outlook Express.
