Please note:

Your mobile telephony provider may charge additional fees for accessing any email account or webpage from your mobile device. Westnet recommends checking with your telephone carrier before accessing this service.

There are several ways you can access your email while on the move. Being away from your computer no longer means being away from your email.

WAPmail

Westnet's WAPmail service allows you to read your new emails from your internet-enabled mobile phone or other device. You can read emails through WAPmail, but you cannot reply or send new messages.

  • Open your mobile device's WAP Browser
  • Enter the address http://wapmail.westnet.com.au
  • Login with your full email address (username@westnet.com.au) and password

You will be presented with your Inbox. From here you may read your new emails.

POP3/IMAP

Many newer mobile telephones and other portable devices contain POP3/IMAP clients, similar to Outlook or Thunderbird on your desktop computer. These allow for easier and faster access to your emails, and provide you with the ability to send messages directly from your device.

  • Preferred Settings
    • Incoming (POP3/IMAP): mail.westnet.com.au
    • Outgoing (SMTP): Your mobile service provider's SMTP server
  • Alternate Settings
    • Incoming (POP3/IMAP): mailr.westnet.com.au
    • Outgoing (SMTP): mailr.westnet.com.au

Important Information

For assistance with your device's WAP browser, email client or general usage, please consult your user manual or contact the device's manufacturer.

Westnet Support can provide you with settings and general information for these services by calling 1300 786 068, but may not be able to provide specific instructions or assistance with some problems.
